There is always one thing that I a m loooking forward to after all the festivities in December: spring. Fresh, bright colors, blooming plants and flowers go hand in hand with a change of my wardrobe, perfumes and make-up products. While I love to wear dark, color rich eyeshadows, lipsticks and nail polishes during wintertime, spring is always about soft pastels and fun pink nuances for me. In order to celebrate the new season, Givenchy´s Over Rose Collection Spring 2014 took its inspiration from the spring’s roses. During wintertimes, a dark eye make-up combined with a decent pink or nude lipstick is one of my go-to-looks for going out. The deep shades of a classic smokey eye make a woman immediately look mysterious, strong and attractive, which is why I love this combination so much. Many of you have reached out to me and asked if I could make a tutorial about how to create a classic smokey eye, and today I finally got the time to take some pictures and write a step-by-step instruction. Please note that there are many variations out there, but since I am such a big fan of Guerlain´s 6 Coleurs eye shadow palette, I focused on using the given colors.
I will try and show you another, more versatile version of the smokey eye and a complete guide on how to apply eyeliner within the next few weeks, but for now, let´s start with the tutorial for a dark smokey eye.

I am very happy about today´s blog entry because I finally managed to write a step by step guide on my daily makeup routine. I am using completely different products than a year ago so it was time to give you a more detailed look on how I do my daily make-up routine. In addition, I am planning to do two eye Make-up tutorials in the next few weeks since many of you asked me if I had any tips for a nice evening look or on how to create a smokey eye.

I was really looking forward to today´s post as I wanted to show you some products of Givenchy´s new Christmas collection Ondulations Précieuses. Givenchy was so kind as to send me a few products to review, and I was very happy to receive the beautiful eye shadow palette Ondulations D´Or, a semi-matte lipstick (Violine Précieux No. 312 ) and a deep red nail polish (Rouge Precieux No. 13).

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas…. At least make-up-wise! Guerlain´s Crazy Paris Christmas Make-Up collection is available as as right now, and it is a very intense feast of texture and colour for make-up lovers.

If you are familiar with Guerlain´s usual classic design, it’s safe to say that this collection may at first appear a tad bit extreme. But, it has good reason to break out of the box, since this collection pays tribute to the celebration-filled reopening of Guerlain’s iconic flagship store at 68 Champs-Elysees, and as such is inspired by the upcoming party season in the city of lights…

Today I´d like to introduce one of my current favorite nail polishes: Givenchy Le Vernis Grenat Initié. The colour is deep red tone with shades of blue and brown, a very intense hue that is not too bright. To me, this is the most perfect colour for fall and I really enjoy looking at the warm shade on my nails.

Here is a preview of Givenchy´s Ondulations Précieuses collection, its make-up line for Christmas 2013. How beautiful are these new products?

Like the name itself suggests, the hero product of the collection is the Ondulations D’Or eye shadow palette (£ 38), with colours that can be used individually or blended. Completing the collection are the Lash Sparkles Glitter for Lashes (£19); Le Rouge lipstick in Rose Précieux and Violine Précieux; Le Vernis nail lacquer in Rouge Précieux and Bronze Précieux, priced £15; and Phenomen’Eyes in Bronze Précieux, priced £22.

It has been a few months since my last “Nail Of The Day”-blog entry, but today´s post is all about one particular manicure that I have seen many times in my Instagram feed: a simple french manicure with glitter-covered tips. Since I really wanted to try this look myself, I thought I´d let you guys know all the steps and what products I used.

Most of you know that I absolutely love bright lipsticks. Since I mostly wear dark or neutral coloured clothing, I find lipsticks and nail polishes to be nice “accessories” to brighten up any outfit and look. So you may get why I am pretty excited to show you my two new beauty purchases: Givenchy´s Le Rouge No. 305 is a light red lipstick with intense pink undertones. And even though it may be very similar to my current go-to-lipstick “Calypso” from Bobbi Brown (shown here and here), it is not as matte and a lot more creamy and smooth. As it is very well-pigmented, one swipe is usually enough, and the lipstick lasts for at least 4-5 hours.

In addition, I also bought a wonderful new lipgloss from MAC called “Plushglass”. I had been looking for a sheer, neutral and natural-looking lipgloss that would plump up my lips a little bit and make them look fuller. After having read so many great reviews about this product, I deciced to try it out myself, and I am not disappointed!

Most of you may have noticed that I always wear lipstick in my outfit posts. I just love the way a bright lipstick makes my whole face look fresh, elegant and classy. Therefore I own a wide range of lipsticks, from bright coral reds to more pinkish reds and deep, intense matte red colours.
When it comes to beauty products, my motto is that one can never have to many lipsticks - which is why I immediately fell in love with this new rouge from Givenchy…

Today I´d like to introduce one of my current favorite nail polishes: Uslu Airlines “BER”. The colour is a red tone with shades of coral and pink, very girly but not too bright. It is a wonderful colour for spring and I love looking at my bright nails :-) …

Recently, british brand Ciaté came out with a very cute “Mini Caviar Bar” which is adorable and gorgeous. The set contains 4 mini paint pots and 4 mini caviar pearls. They are mix and match-able for different styles and looks. As you open the box up, you will notice that there is a podium for each of them to prop up on. Enclosed is instructions on how to use each different caviar. Along with the instructions is a funnel and a clear collecting tray for caviar application over the nails. The tray comes in handy for saving the excess caviar pearls.

I decided to take a quick before and complete application shot for you to see the differences. I have all my nails except ring finger painted with Pom Pom and caviar Jubilee applied on my ringfinger.
