As a new addition to the guest blog I decided to include a regular feature of my monthly favourites illustrating all kind of items and products that I have particularly enjoyed that month. And since October 2014 is already history, I’m in a hurry to share my most loved October products without further ado…
This month I have been in love with HAM prints. After months of stalking Joanna’s website my boyfriend got me three bunny prints for my birthday. They are so adorable and cheerful and certainly add a playful feel good factor to our apartment. Having two little bunnies myself, I instantly fell in love with the hand made prints. Very recently HAM added a new ‘wine tasting bunny’ print to their range and I find myself really craving it. HAM also has an adorable range of mugs and cards, all of which are produced in the UK. You can buy Joanna’s products directly from her website, the customer service is very attending and personal.
Since getting the ‘Dior Tee Shirt’ tribal earrings I have been wearing them a lot but in October literally every day. I am a big fan of the double pearl trend. It’s a great way to spice up the traditional pearl earring look. However I felt that the ‘Mise en Dior’ were too classic for me and therefore was a very happy girl to find this slightly more edgy silver/ gold version. I wear it alone and love the asymmetrical tribal look!
The iPhone 6 has been another October favourite of mine. Although I was hesitant about the size, I got it fairly early and spontaneously (thanks to Mehrnaz and Chris ☺) and have to admit it’s quite handy. Since I love taking pictures everywhere I go, I particularly enjoy the camera, which compared to the iPhone 5S, is a huge upgrade!
Bold lipsticks and glosses are an autumn beauty staple. Applying bold lipstick to an otherwise neutral Makeup can complete or transform your look in seconds, which is especially handy when running late or having little time to get ready. Since running late is my daily scenario (shame on me), bold lips where my October Makeup go-to. The lipstick I definitely reached for most is this beautiful ‘ROUGE G DE GUERLAIN’ in colour Geraldine 77, which was a gift from my dear friend Mehrnaz.
Let’s take a moment to admire the gorgeous packaging! I am utterly in love with the luxurious metal cover, designed by Place Vendôme based jeweller Lorenz Baeumer.
The cover is held by magnet clasp and when unlocked, a mirror appears automatically. Amazing! The lipstick formula is hydrating and has yet intense and long-lasting colour. An effect achieved by combination of ruby powder for radiance, hyaluronic acid spheres for smoothness and wild mango butter for moisture and hydration. This magical device makes your lips instantly look plum, smooth and radiant. On top of all that goodness Guerlain products have an almost bewitching fragrance and this lipstick is no exception due to notes of vanilla, orange, lemon, bergamot accord and other delicious scents.
My last favourite for the month of October is the combination of delicious Kusmi tea and the timeless design of the Stelton EM77 vacuum jug by Erik Magnussen. I am a huge fan of minimalistic designs in general, but Stelton totally won me over with the launch of the EM77 steel collection. The copper jug especially makes my heart jump and when my best friend gave it to me for my birthday, I was beyond myself! My apartment (surprise, surprise) is mainly decorated in white, crème, natural wood and grey colour patterns and so this jug adds the extra splash of colour when I cosy up at home and relax with a nice cup of tea. These days I mostly drink the Kusmi ‘BE COOL’ tea, which is a calming detoxifying herbal tea. The aroma is amazing and I truly find myself more relaxed after sipping a few cups of this delicious blend.
