Whenever I am on holidays, I always try upgrade my education and visit one or two of the local museums. Even though my husband and I have spent a few months in New York within the past years, we somehow never got to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art (“Met”). I honestly don´t know why we never considered going there before - maybe we always thought that the Moma, Guggenheim or Museum of National History were more “visitworthy” than the Met? However, can you believe that after having visited the Met this time, I would call it my absolute favorite museum?

Up until now I was quite sure that there was nothing bigger, better and more beautiful than my beloved Louvre in Paris. I mean, it is the Louvre with the famous Mona Lisa! So it came to me as quite a suprise to find out that the Met is not only three times bigger than the Louvre, but also features some of the most expensive and famous art worldwide…. It is so big that even after two full days, I still haven´t even captured half of what it has to offer!
