Last weekend was so sunny and warm that we took the chance and shot these pictures. As you can see, I am very yet another hat by Maison Michel. The fabulous french fashion label is owned by Chanel and specializes in hatwear and hair accessoiries. My favorite models are “Virginie” (which I own in a nice bordeaux color) and “Henrietta” which is pictured above.

2014 - A Year In Review

75 days ago dash Baby, My Outfits, News & Trends

To me, 2014 is one of the most exciting years ever. I have seen, felt and experienced so many things that it seems as if time has somehow just flown by. At the beginning of 2014, I would have never imagined that today, a year later, I would be pregnant with my first child and being so close to my due date.

Nevertheless, I am more than thankful for everything that has happenend within the past months, and today, I would like to give you a little overview of some of my favorite moments:

Outfit: The Hermès Kelly Bag

83 days ago dash My Outfits

Today´s outfit post is all about the newest addition to my little handbag family. It was a very lucky surprise (and coincidence), but last week I had the chance to be offered this fabulous and oh so classy bag - and of course I could not turn down the offer. The Hermès Kelly bag, one of the most iconic and famous bags ever, is very hard to come by, especially in black, and I am more than happy to finally be the proud owner of such a wonderful investment piece.

The cashmere sweater that I am wearing in this pictures is actually a mini dress - but since my belly won´t stop growing, it is currently one of the very few items in my closet that I can still wear. For a more casual approch, I styled my H&M maternity jeans and some very comfortable Chanel ankle boots.

Btw, did any of you shop the big sales at Net-a-Porter, Mytheresa, Stylebop, Luisa Via Roma and Co.?

Cashmere sweater: Stefanel (loving this or this one, both on sale)

Jeans: H&M Maternity (regular version here)

Ankle Boots: Chanel (similar model here)

Jewelry: Hermès & Dior

Handbag: Hermès (this Fendi-bag is a stunner as well)

Outfit: Cozy Cashmere & A Huge Baby Bump

92 days ago dash Baby, My Outfits
maternity-schwangerschaft-outfit-01

The heading says it all: My bump has gotten huge within this past week! I was so lucky because my belly wasn´t that big and I could even fit into some of my regular (non maternity) tops, but ever since last Sunday it has grown so much that I have almost nothing left to wear. Well, I read that the baby will increase 1 kilo in weight during the last month of the pregnancy - and since I still have a few weeks left, I am guessing that my body´s circumference will grow as well :-)

Coat: Moncler (similar one here)

Sweater: Massimo Dutti (old, loving this or this one)

Jeans: H&M Maternity (regular version here)

Hat & Scarf: COS & Jardin des Orangers

Shoes: Uterque (sold out, find a similar version here or here)

Handbag: Louis Vuitton SC Bag

Lipgloss: Dior Addict Fluid Stick (color “Wonderland”)

Eye shadow: Givenchy Ombre Couture No. 05 Taupe Velours

Last week I spent some wonderful days in Paris, my favorite city in the world. We opted for the famous and luxurious Shangri-La Hotel (the only place where you can have breakfast on your terrace and enjoy the beauty of the Eiffel tower), ate some of the most delicious foods and I even scored the bag of my dreams at Hermès. For those of you that don´t follow me on Instagram, here´s a little summary of what I have been up to:

Outfit: Cozy and Chic

Even though I love wintertime more than any other season, I always struggle to look stylish and feel warm at the same time. I mean it is not hard to wear a cozy down jacket and some fluffy Ugg boots (which I mostly do), but if I want to try something more fashionable, I never really know what to look for…

Hat: Gucci (sold out, find a similar one here or here)

Coat: sold out, alternative version here

Jeans: H&M Maternity (regular version here)

Shoes: Acne Pistol Boots (also available here)

Handbag: Chanel Classic Mini Flap

Outfit: The Little Black Dress

little-black-dress-002

Today´s look is an outfit I have worn just a few days ago to a little cocktail party. The black dress is from H&M´s regular collection and perfectly fits my growing belly - plus, I kind of believe that the slim cut and deep black shade make me look not as big as I currently am.

Since I knew that I would be standing a lot at that particular evening, I chose my Valentino Rockstud pumps in a chic eggplant color - they are the most comfortable High Heels I own, and I really wish that Valentino would make them in more colors.

Dress: H&M (loving this or this alternative)

Shoes: Valentino (also available here or here)

Handbag: Chanel

Earrings: Dior Tribal Mise en Dior

Bracelets: Hermès & Jennifer Meyer

Nail Polish & Lipgloss: Dior Le Vernis Nuit 1947 & Dior Addict Fluid Stick (Farbe Wonderland)

Outfit: The Perfect Rain Boots

120 days ago dash Baby, My Outfits

If you live in a rainy city such as Cologne (or London), rain boots are an absolute must for everyday life. Last month, I finally found a pair that does both look chic and which is very comfortable - and they are made of rubber! I really like that they do not look like typical rain boots, but resemble much more a classic riding boot.

Happy weekend!

Ever since my belly started to show, I have been struggling to find the balance between feeling comfortable in my clothes and looking chic at the same time. One fashion “trend” that I have really grown to like are total tone on tone looks - I found them to be very sophisticated and stylish. For today´s outfit, I combined different shades of powder pink with some of my favorite overknee boots by Prada.

Outfit: The Perfect Camel Coat

If there is one piece of clothing that you should always invest in- and I am very serious about this - it would be a good wool coat. A nice coat (e. g. made of cashmere or camel hair wool) will make the most casual outfit look chic and sophisticated within seconds, and to me, being the lazy dresser that I am, this is very important.

A few weeks ago when my bump hadn´t grown so much yet, I decided to buy this wonderful and cozy hooded coat by Max Mara. The fabric has a nice touch to it and I love how the simple design allows me to dress this coat up or down.

Coat: Max Mara (also available here and here)

Jeans: Paige Denim Maternity (regular version here)

Top: H&M Maternity (this is very similar)

simple and dark look, I combined different shades of black with intense burgundy. Even though I usually try to mix things up and add a pop of color, at this stage of my pregnancy I am all about matching similar shades and colors.

Happy weekend, everybody!

After a year-long search, I finally found the most perfect denim jacket from AG Adriano Goldschmied. Made from the softest denim fabric ever, nothing beats this lightweight jacket when it comes to dressing for mild autumn days. For today´s look, I paired it with some simple skinny jeans, my beloved black ankle booties from IRO and a red Chanel handbag.

Dearest readers,

I am very happy to announce what some of you might have already guessed: I am pregnant! My husband and I are over the moon and we couldn´t be any more excited for what is set to come. Shop Le Monde will still revolve around fashion and beauty, but of course I will share my pregnancy updates and try to show you as many maternity looks as possible.

I am very much looking forward to share this journey with you all!

xoxo

Outfit: Taupe Cashmere Coat x Valentino Rockstud Pumps

191 days ago dash My Outfits

Today´s look is all about some of my current favorite wardrobe pieces. For this first fall outfit, I combined my cozy and soft cashmere coat with some simple skinny jeans and a silk top by COS. My beloved Valentino Rockstud pumps that I am wearing in these pictures are the most comfortable and versatile shoes I have ever owned - if you are looking for the perfect everyday show, this is the one, gals!
Since the overall look is quite neutral, I opted for a bright pink lipstick and some colorful bracelets by talented jewelry designer Sara Lashay.

Shoes: Valentino (through Steffl Department Store, but also available here and here)

Outfit: A Casual and Cozy Pre-Fall Look

Perfectly suitable for the autumnal mood of the last few days I’ve decided for this casual outfit that includes two of my latest purchases. The warm cashmere sweater is luxuriously soft and perfect for a stroll along the banks of the Rhine. For a small splash of color I combined it with my new scarf by fabulous London-based label Fariba Soltani. The wonderful and soft colors perfectly match my sweater and jeans and I absolutely love the lightweight, yet warm texture of this fine woven scarf…

Cashmere Sweater: Massimo Dutti (sold out, but loving this and this one)
