It was just a matter of time, but now it is official: Chanel will increase the prices for its Handbags about 30% in Europe. The move is meant to streamline the pricing in Europe and China. Classics like the 11.12, 2.55 and Boy Bag will see the price increases on April 8, while the rest of Chanels product range will receive the new prices till the end of the year. But thats not the only bad news:
To me, 2014 is one of the most exciting years ever. I have seen, felt and experienced so many things that it seems as if time has somehow just flown by. At the beginning of 2014, I would have never imagined that today, a year later, I would be pregnant with my first child and being so close to my due date.

I have to admit that I hesitated quite a bit to reveal my baby´s gender before birth. As I am a bit superstitious and always like to be on the “safe side” with everything, I wasn´t really sure to whether or not let you know if we were expecting a girl or boy…

I am very happy to announce what some of you might have already guessed: I am pregnant! My husband and I are over the moon and we couldn´t be any more excited for what is set to come. Shop Le Monde will still revolve around fashion and beauty, but of course I will share my pregnancy updates and try to show you as many maternity looks as possible.

As you all know, shopping - and especially online shopping - is one of my biggest passions. Since I love to browse the internet´s endless selections of designer fashion, I would even go so far as to say that shopping has become one of my secret hobbies :-)
Anyway, one of the stores that I regularly frequent is Amazon owned company Shopbop. Specialised in women´s fashion, Shopbop has grown a lot from its launch in 2000 and has now become one of the leading fashion retailers. With an impressive selection of over 800 designers and brands such as Marc Jacobs, Guiseppe Zanotti, J Brand or Acne, the variety of clothing, shoes and accessoires is absolutely amazing and unique. There is also a section with different boutiques (wedding/designer/Editor´s pick etc.) that features limited-edition and special pieces and is meant to inspire.

While browsing windsor´s new fall/winter collection, I stumbled upon some beautiful items that I would like to show today:
Earlier this month, shoe designer Christian Louboutin released an assortment of nail polish, the first products in his beauty line. While it was assumed that he might introduce red lipstick as his first product, it is actually nail lacquer. Early in his career, the designer famously grabbed some red nail polish from his assistant and painted the sole of a shoe he was working on to make it more vibrant. Thus, a legendary product was born.
While browsing the internet and searching for some new lamps for our home, I stumbled upon a fabulous furniture company called Bolia. The scandinavian firm designs and develops a very modern, yet timeless range of furniture and home accessories. Bolia also runs stores in Germany and Scandinavia, with more locations opening around Europe soon.

Using the theme “Le Corbusier travels to Versailles” Karl Lagerfeld presented his fall-winter 2014/15 collection last Tuesday. In his designs Lagerfeld plays with the materials like creating a full-fledged material out of cement. Thanks to Chanel for the exciting look behind the scenes:
When I visited the Firenze4Ever event last week, LuisaViaRoma offered me to promote one of 36 footballs that were designed for charity. All proceeds will be donated to the Gol de Letra Foundation, whose mission is to improve living conditions for children in the Brazilian favelas through art, culture, education and sports. My choice was the creation of designer Shourouk, but there are many more beautiful football designs, including creations by Missoni, Balmain and Roberto Cavalli.
