Let me start of by apologising for not having posted in such a long time. As “I’ve been really busy” might not be enough explanation this time, I’ve decided to share some personal information with you. I moved to Spain end of last year to pursue postgraduate education and get my MBA diploma. My business school is quite demanding and for the past few weeks I had to study for exams and simultaneously work to meet deliverable deadlines. It’s not always easy, as most of the subjects don’t come naturally to me and many of my fellow students are more experienced and often have prior knowledge in many areas. Let me tell you I am ready for holidays! I would have loved to share an outfit with you for this post but since my photographer, aka boyfriend is still busy with compulsory commitments, I want to share some last months’ favourites with you:
Outfit: Ball At The Ritz Hotel
On a recent special occasion I got to dress up a little more than usual. I attended a ball hosted at the Ritz Carlton in Madrid. It’s surely an institution and one of the city’s most elitist’s hotels. With today’s hectic pace of life, it’s easy to get caught up with everyday complications and so dressing up and getting my dancing shoes out for this stylish soiree was much welcomed! Since I love myself a comfortable yet elegant outfit, it’s no surprise I chose to wear black. Undeniably one of my favourite shades, it’s even better with hints of colour. This beautiful lace-like dress by BCBG ticked all the right boxes. I love its subtle feminine appeal and the well-designed pattern details. I paired this beautiful piece with my beloved Valentino Rockstud heels (you can literally wear these shoes to any outfit, they always seem to fit and moreover, they are so incredibly comfortable) and black Chanel statement earrings to add the perfect hint of glamour.

Chanel Minaudière Pearl Bag
This look was shot spontaneously between rushing from Christmas teatime to Christmas dinner, since I really wanted to share this special and precious pearl-shaped minaudiere bag with you! To me, there is no better time than Christmas (except for maybe weddings) for wearing such an exceptionally sophisticated piece.

The Pink Kelly Cut Clutch
If you had a peak into the pants section of my closet, you’d see that most of them are jeans. Some very different, others quiet similar but like so many other fashion items, denim is an obsession of mine.
For good two years now I have been obsessed with ripped denim. I possess various types and styles all dedicated to this fashion and yet I am always on the look out for the next perfect pair…

Grey November Shades
To be frank with you I’m not a huge fan of the cold and therefore really tend to struggle with chilly November. Being in Madrid of course makes it more bearable, since weather here is not quite as harsh compared to Germany.
In any case though, dark foggy fall days are not my deepest pleasure. If you feel like me and are constantly looking for a way to lighten up the rainy days, be sure to include soft grey, muted white and pastel blue to your wardrobe. These neutral colours will definitely make a difference and lighten up your look and perhaps your spirits, if needed…

As a new addition to the guest blog I decided to include a regular feature of my monthly favourites illustrating all kind of items and products that I have particularly enjoyed that month. And since October 2014 is already history, I’m in a hurry to share my most loved October products without further ado…
Hermès, Chanel and co. - Only invest in classics?
We’ve all heard it, read it and perhaps even said it ourselves: “One should only invest in classic designer pieces”. But what does this mean?
Designer classics are considered - on the luxury end that is - as high-priced and due to generally straightforward and sleek design somewhat timeless pieces. We’re talking luxe cashmere sweaters and coats and of course delicate leather shoes and bags. Hermès bags such as the Birkin, Kelly or Constance immediately come to mind and of course the Chanel 2.55 Flap…
Fall Again And A Change Of Location
Today is a special day. Why? Because today I am writing my first blog post from Madrid. I moved here a couple of days ago and well, what can I say, even here summer is officially over.
I love fall, not only because I celebrate my birthday during this time of year but especially because seeing all the colourful leaves makes me happy. It’s somewhat magical. Unfortunately Madrid’s trees are not yet ready to join the happening and rather continue to blossom in the finest green.
Since arriving in Spain, I’ve been busy with sorting out my life and with weather being chilly and rainy I didn’t feel like missing much. But when the sun showed up today, I just had to take a stroll through the city, explore my neighbourhood, try delicious tapas and do a little shopping…

Basically Black Meets Pink Kelly Bag
There is nothing I love more than dressing up casually chic and that’s what this outfit is all about. Also, I am very excited to share one of my favourite colour combinations with you - black on black on black ;-). So little to do wrong with, no?
There are very few occasions where black just doesn’t quiet fit, except for maybe summer weddings, garden parties and baby showers. Other than that I feel very comfortable in black. It’s so uniform and yet diverse, it can be whatever you want it to be. Black can be casual and glamorous, it can be relaxed and extremely chic and most amazingly, it can be all of that at the same time!…

The Chanel Boy Bag - inspired by Gabrielle Chanel
When it comes to Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld can do no wrong. His vision for the house of Chanel is classic yet so forward, it is pure perfection! Whenever you think you have figured out Chanel, Mr. Lagerfeld hits you with a bang – or in this case – a bag! I can honestly say that I have never been more excited about a bag than about the Boy…
