We’ve all heard it, read it and perhaps even said it ourselves: “One should only invest in classic designer pieces”. But what does this mean?

We’re talking luxe cashmere sweaters and coats and of course delicate leather shoes and bags. Today is a special day. Why? Because today I am writing my first blog post from Madrid. I moved here a couple of days ago and well, what can I say, even here summer is officially over.

I love fall, not only because I celebrate my birthday during this time of year but especially because seeing all the colourful leaves makes me happy. It’s somewhat magical. Unfortunately Madrid’s trees are not yet ready to join the happening and rather continue to blossom in the finest green.

Since arriving in Spain, I’ve been busy with sorting out my life and with weather being chilly and rainy I didn’t feel like missing much. But when the sun showed up today, I just had to take a stroll through the city, explore my neighbourhood, try delicious tapas and do a little shopping…

There is nothing I love more than dressing up casually chic and that’s what this outfit is all about. Also, I am very excited to share one of my favourite colour combinations with you - black on black on black ;-). So little to do wrong with, no?

There are very few occasions where black just doesn’t quiet fit, except for maybe summer weddings, garden parties and baby showers. Other than that I feel very comfortable in black. It’s so uniform and yet diverse, it can be whatever you want it to be. Black can be casual and glamorous, it can be relaxed and extremely chic and most amazingly, it can be all of that at the same time!…
