Today is a special day. Why? Because today I am writing my first blog post from Madrid. I moved here a couple of days ago and well, what can I say, even here summer is officially over.

I love fall, not only because I celebrate my birthday during this time of year but especially because seeing all the colourful leaves makes me happy. It’s somewhat magical. Unfortunately Madrid’s trees are not yet ready to join the happening and rather continue to blossom in the finest green.

Since arriving in Spain, I’ve been busy with sorting out my life and with weather being chilly and rainy I didn’t feel like missing much. But when the sun showed up today, I just had to take a stroll through the city, explore my neighbourhood, try delicious tapas and do a little shopping.

My look of the day consisted of super soft grey/taupish leather leggings, sneakers and a crème coloured sweater. There’s actually a dramatic story to that sweater. You see it’s Hermès and I really, really love it. So one day, I was on my way to Paris by train. It was super early in the morning and I needed coffee. Apparently the lid of my to-go latté was loose and when I took the first sip, I spilled coffee all over me. Being trapped in the train I couldn’t properly wash out the stain and the sweater has been ruined ever since. I have tried dry-cleaning it several times, but it only made things worse, a huge white stain has replaced the coffee traces. I wanted to colour it but professionals told me it would mess up the sweater completely. It’s really devastating, but life goes on. ;-)
