Welcome to my corner of Shop Le Monde. Let me tell you, I could not be more excited to become part of such a beautifully illustrated and well thought out blog. Thank you to my lovely friend and one of the most gorgeous girls I have ever met, Mehrnaz, for this incredible opportunity!

Here I will write about things in which I find inspiration and happiness like food, travel, beauty, life as such and of course fashion. To me fashion is not a fixed concept. It is ambivalent and always changing, somewhat reoccurring but also constantly reinventing. Style is different in that sense. It is something very personal and subject to individual taste.

When I think about my personal style, I would definitely say that I am all about effortless chic, simple and perhaps a little edgy fashion. I love my white, grey and black and have to admit that these colour patterns dominate my closet. Style to me is expressing and being yourself through fashion. It took me a while to realise who I am style-wise - and trust me much longer than I like to remember – but since I have, I feel more confident and comfortable in my skin. Don’t get me wrong, I still love to experiment and of course I wear colours (sometimes even very bright ones ☺) but if I had to choose one to wear for the rest of my life it probably would be black.

So what better way to end my blogging debut than with showing you my personal style in one of my favourite outfits. Comfy jeans (preferably distressed or plain dark blue) are my daily go to. Here I am pairing some ripped Mother denim with a fabulously relaxed silk shirt and Chanel Espadrilles. I just love the details of Chanel footwear, pure perfection don’t you think? My bag of choice is the Chanel backpack. Honestly, since getting it, it has not left my side. I practically eat and sleep with it!
