Hermès Clic Clac Bracelet

Hermès Clic Clac Bracelet

There it is – my first Hermès bracelet! I haven´t really paid much attention to Hermès jewelry before, but when I saw this beauty at the Hermès store in Berlin I know I had to have it! The colour is a bright coral pink and I love the elegant and classy “H”-lock…. This definitely won´t be my last “Clic-Clac” bracelet and I am looking forward to many more beautiful colours :-)

Louis Vuitton Parnasséa Collection

Louis Vuitton Parnasséa Collection

While browsing some of my favorite blogs I found some pictures of Louis Vuitton´s next big thing: The Parnesséa Collection.

I am really curious to see the bags in real life. To be honest, these campaign pics are a bit dark and boring and don´t do it justice. The Vivienne Bag is really nice and elegant, and its big logo is what attracted me at first glance. But I would never ever buy a SC Bag made of box leather –  way to dangerous!

What do you think about the collection?

New In – Lovely Hair Accessoires

New In – Lovely Hair Accessoires

Today´s post is all about some lovely new hair accessoires that I bought last week. I originally wanted to do an outfit-post for today, but unfortunately the rainy and cold weather wouldn´t let us take any pictures at all.

However, I am happy to present you these new hairclips: a cute pearl bow hair barette and a chic hair brooch.

In addition, I finally bought myself a hair donut! I have seen this styling tool on some other blogs before, but being a absolute lame duck in regards to hair styling, I always hesitated to buy it. Anyway, it works really great and is an easy way to get a sleek bun in less than five minutes:

How I Run My Blog

How I Run My Blog

Since I am receiving quite a few questions about my blog every now and then, I thought it might be a good idea to sum everything up and write a small post which would answer the main questions. Leave me a comment if you have any other questions or tips, I am always enjoying your feedback!

1.) Why and how did you start blogging?

Setting up my own blog wasn´t a decision I made overnight. Being a blog reader myself, I sometimes stumbled upon interesting blog-posts/outfits that created a desire to express myself, my thoughts or my sense of fashion in a similar way. It took me nearly a year to find a suitable name, create a logo and a design for my blog until I finally wrote my first article. But I had a lot of stress at work during this time, and I would say that setting up a blog usually only takes a few days.

2. ) Do you have professionel help or did you learn everything on your own?

Yes, at the beginning I had a lot of help – my husband worked on the design and structure of Shop Le Monde. In addition, I struggled with writing as I am not a “writer at heart”… I also had a hard time at making collages, and there are many other technical things like HTML-Code, widgets and some great WordPress mysteries that I had to deal with (or sometimes still have to until this very day). But if you´re serious and passionate about something, you learn to cope with these things and may see yourself exploring the most interesting horizons you can imagine. A little adivice for all the Mac-users among you: Apple Keynote is an easy way to make collages and helps with cropping images.

3.) Who takes your pictures and what camera do you use?

High quality pictures are one of the most important things for running a succesful blog. However, I am not very good at taking pictures, and honestly it even makes me go crazy at times. Again, my husband, who is a photographer at heart, loves taking pictures and is responsible for every shot you see on my blog. We are using a  Fujifilm X100 and Nikon D600 camera, and most of the time the Nikkor 50mm F1.4 lense.

4.) What inspires you and how do you chose the topics for your posts?

Most of what I write about are things that happen to me in my everyday life, like receipes, travel experiences etc. Whenever I have an idea for an interesting post, I either start writing right away, or I make a note in my journal and spare the idea for another time.

5.) How do you chose your outfits?

Whatever outfit I show on my blog is what I actually wore the day I took the pictures. It is very important to me to only show my readers wearable fashion. And even though I love browsing through blogs like “The Blonde Salade” or “Atlantic-Pacific”, I am not sure that these (more or less) editorial looks are what people would wear while going out…

6.) How much time to you spend working on your blog?

Running a blog is very time consuming, and I would say that I spend most of my freetime in front of my Pc. Overall I need approximately 15-20 hours/week, and most articles are being written in the evenings and on the weekend.

7.) Do you have any tips for current/future bloggers?

Absolutely! It is extremly important to be honest and to show a lot of personality on your blog so that readers will develop an actual interest in you. In addition, one of the main perks is to have patience and faith in yourself – it often takes months until you have a small readership, and you need to constantly post new articles during this time.

Outfit-Post: Acne x Valentino

Outfit-Post: Acne x Valentino

Today´s outfit is all about my favorite wardrobe items: skinny ankle jeans, a flowy silk top, high heels and a bit of “bling bling”. And since we´re still a long way from having spring temperatures, I always take a leather jacket with me (you never know woth these temperatures here in Germany!). Happy Thursday!

I am wearing: Acne Leather Jacket (love these versions in beige and black) | 7 For All Mankind Jeans (here or here) | Uterque Silk Shirt (similar one here) | Valentino Pumps (craving the pink one!) | Chanel Handbag (here is a cute Mini Chanel in red)  | Zara Necklace (sold out, but found this alternativ) | Nail Polish ANNY No. 175 | Lipstick YSL Rouge pur Couture No. 13

2nd Try: Valentino Vavavoom Clutch

2nd Try: Valentino Vavavoom Clutch

Oh yeah, it could have been so nice…. Last week, when my lovely Valentino SA called and told me that she had received a wonderful red Vavavoom clutch, I hesitated at first. I mean, I had bought a beige version of the bag last year and immediately had to send it back because of some scratches and serious abrasion. However, I thought I´d give it a try and went ahead with the order.

But when the package finally arrived and I started to open it, I could immediately see the first few scratches on the upper front of the bag… And yes, even the corners showed some slight sign of abrasions! How is this even possible? The bag was brand new when my SA had shipped it to me, and except for the person who sew the bag, my SA and me nobody else had touched the bag! Being a nitpicking person, I knew I couldn´t keep the clutch and after less than an hour I decided to send it back… Maybe it´s just not meant to be and I should stick to Chanel instead!

Outfit-Post: All White

Outfit-Post: All White

After a little time away from my blog I wanted to start the new week with an outfit-post. Ever since the sun has started to throw us some warm rays here and there, my go-to-outfit has been a pair of skinny jeans, some sandals and a flowy top or t-shirt. One of the absolute favorite things in my wardrobe is this Tiger-Print-T-Shirt from Maje which I could literally wear every day – if only it would come in more colours!

I wish you a happy week :-)

I am wearing: Zara Jeans (similar one here and here)  |  Maje T-Shirt (sold out, but found a nice alternative here and here)  | Enamel Bracelet |  Valentino Sandals (here in gold,  but loving these ones from Chloé!)  |  Givenchy Antigona Handbag (clutch version here)

True Love: Valentino Rockstud Pumps

True Love: Valentino Rockstud Pumps

I have been longing for these beauties for nearly two years now. Honestly, how could I not? From fashion blogs, magazines and newsletters, these beauties seemed to be everywhere! So after nearly two years of dreaming and thinking, I finally took the plunge and ordered them… Say hello to the most comfortable and striking high heels I have ever owned :-)

Valentino Rockstud PVC Bag

Valentino Rockstud PVC Bag

I´m not 100% sure what to make of this trend: see-through handbags have been spotted at every major fashion show and seem to be this season´s must-have. Let´s talk about the Valentino´s Rockstud collection: it has been around for more than two years now and appears to be rather popular among fashionistas worldwide. But what I did I found while browsing my favorite online-stores Mytheresa and Stylebop this past days? A PVC version of the famous design, priced for the exact same about that would get you the leather version of this bag. Is this for real? I would have to pay the same price for a piece of plastic as for a bag made of real leather?

Well, with designer accessoires and fashion, most of the price you pay is for design & brand name, which is totally fine in my opinion. And to be fair, I kind of like the design and the idea behind. But I am 100% sure that this bag is not made to be “really” used… I mean, imagine you carry the bag around, and anybody has free sight on all of your belongings?

New Hair and Necklace

New Hair and Necklace

Within the last few weeks I have been dissatisfied with my hair: bangs too long, too dry and overall very  boring looking.  But since I am a person that loves to be on the safe side and does not experiment too much, there are not many things that I would do to my hair (I remember an incident that ended up with me being blonde for a whole week). So when I was at the hairdresser yesterday I spontaneously decided to cut my bangs! I really like the younger and different look and I am very happy with the way it looks!

On the second picture you can see my new statement-necklace from ASOS – I really love it and be prepared for many more outfit posts with it!

Hello Sunshine!

Hello Sunshine!

Hello Spring! You have no idea how much I´ve been longing for you these past weeks… Please don´t ever leave me again!

Yes, I may not really believe it, but it seems as if spring finally made its way to Europe. I mean I´m not going to get my hopes up too high yet, but I have a feeling that winter may be over (like for real!).

However, today I would like to show you one of my go-to-outfts for spring: a light leather jacket, paired with a nice, flowy top, some skinny jeans and comfortable ankle boots. And since I promised myself to carry less stuff with me (my shoulders have started to really hurt these past months), I combined the whole look with my new Louis Vuitton clutch. Who would have guessed that this bag could be so versatile, even for daytime use?

Wish you all a warm and sunny week, dolls!

I am wearing: Muubaa Leather Jacket (find a similar one here and here)  |  Zara Skinny Jeans (love this version from 7 For All Mankind)  |  Reiss Top (less expensive version here)  |  Fendi Sunglasses  |  Nail Polish from ANNY  |  Comptoir des Cotonniers Ankle Boots (these are even nice)  |  Louis Vuitton Clutch (I really hope for this one to go on sale!)
