It has been a few months since my last “Nail Of The Day”-blog entry, but today´s post is all about one particular manicure that I have seen many times in my Instagram feed: a simple french manicure with glitter-covered tips. Since I really wanted to try this look myself, I thought I´d let you guys know all the steps and what products I used.
First of all, I applied my go-to basecoat, essie´s grow stronger formula. Afterwards, I used a new shade, essie “blanc”, a rich, chalk white colour. For full coverage, I needed two coats (which is very good compared to most of my other nail polishes). I usually always wear “good to go”, a fast drying top coat, but because of the glitter finish and the additional two coats I passed on it. As a last step, I carefully applied the glitter polish, trying to add more glitter to the tips and creating sort of an “ombre-look”.
In summary, I really like the result. The glitter parts are very tiny and the overall texture of the nails does not feel awkward at all. If you love nail art or want to go for something different, this is definitely the right manicure for you. This look can be created within minutes and would be great for any kind of events. I am planning to try this nail design with my nude Givenchy nail polish and will let you know how this combination turns out.
